Through the bridging role of Zhaotai Group, Sichuan Energy Investment Development Co., Ltd., Sumitomo Corporation (China) and Zhaotai Group held a strategic cooperation agreement signing ceremony in Chengdu on May 24. Based on the agreement, all parties involved will carry out multi-dimensional strategic cooperation in the field of hydrogen energy, jointly create the coordination model and promote the high quality development of China's hydrogen energy industry.
During this year's NPC & CPPCC Annual Sessions, "Emission Peak and Carbon Neutrality” was written into the Report on the Work of the Government for the first time. Undoubtedly, China's economic and social development will rely more on clean energy in the future, among which the role of hydrogen energy is indispensable, and on the track of hydrogen energy, Japan is running ahead. Japan launched the research on hydrogen energy production, storage, transportation and utilization related technology as early as 1973. Today, it has formed a relatively complete hydrogen energy industry chain in the field of hydrogen production, hydrogen storage and transportation, and hydrogen energy utilization. Working with Japanese hydrogen energy enterprises would help shore up our weak spots in the development of China's hydrogen energy industry within a short period of time and promote the development of China's hydrogen energy industry in a sound and fast way.
To strengthen the in-depth cooperation between China and Japan in the field of clean energy and to improve the technology and capability of each party in the field of hydrogen energy, Zhaotai Group, Sumitomo Corporation and Sichuan Energy Investment Development Co., Ltd. reached a preliminary consensus regarding the future cooperation in the field of hydrogen energy during the discussions that the three parties hope to execute future work in hydrogen energy cooperation around the "Three Ones", namely:
One event: Hold regular Sino-Japanese (West China) Hydrogen Energy Industry Forum annually to dynamically exchange talents, technology, management and capital;
One demonstration project: Execute Sino-Japanese cooperation demonstration projects along all streams of hydrogen energy industry, as well as in the field of hydrogen production, hydrogen storage, hydrogen transportation and hydrogen refueling. Build a virtuous cycle of cooperation and demonstration effect, bringing Chinese and Japanese enterprises within the whole life cycle of the hydrogen industry chain to jointly participate in the construction and operation of hydrogen energy industry projects.
One model park: Establish a hydrogen energy industry project clusters such as hydrogen energy integrated components, hydrogen fuel cell power equipment, hydrogen energy system storage and transportation, special materials for hydrogen storage equipment, hydrogen fuel cell vehicle lightweight materials R&D, design and testing. Bringing up deeply integrated superior resources of all parties, to build a domestically first-class and internationally renowned new energy industrial park with hydrogen energy as its main theme.
During the process of executing the "Three Ones", Zhaotai Group, Sumitomo Corporation and Sichuan Energy Investment Development Co., Ltd will give full play to their respective advantages and resources to jointly promote the development of China's hydrogen energy industry and technological innovation, and contribute to the early realization of the goal of "Emission Peak and Carbon Neutrality".
