On June 5, the groundbreaking ceremony of Naizuku Primary School Project donated by Zhaotai Group took place in Naizuku Village, Niuniuba Town, Meigu County, Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Daliang Mountain, Sichuan Province. The Project Representative from Zhaotai Group, the Chairman of Anna Chennault Foundation and Sichuan Soma Charity Foundation, a member of CPC Committee of Meigu Education and Sports Bureau, as well as all teachers and students of Naizuku Primary School attended the ceremony.
The reporter learned that, for the charity project of building Naizuku Primary School, Zhaotai Group took less than 20 days from researching to groundbreaking. In mid-May, Zhaotai Group had organized a site visit as soon as it learned that Naizuku Primary School was in urgent need of reconstruction. It was found that the old classrooms of Naizuku Primary School had long been abandoned due to its dangerous building issues during the inspection, the students could only attend classes in temporary prefabricated houses at that time, and the conditions were extremely difficult. To provide a better learning environment for the children from impoverished mountain areas, Zhaotai Group decided to help rebuild the school campus in Naizuku Village. After just some ten days of preparation, Naizuku Primary School made important moment of groundbreaking.
Mr. Yao, the Representative of Zhaotai Group, delivered a speech at the groundbreaking ceremony: "Education is a major concern that requires a long-term persistence, which may not only change the fate of individuals, but also make an impact on the future of the country. Here, I would express my sincere gratitude to all teachers and teaching volunteers who have worked so tirelessly for the local education. I hope you will make persistent efforts, overcome difficulties and educate more talents for the country. During his speech, the Chairman of Sichuan Soma Charity Foundation expressed his gratitude to Zhaotai Group for lending the helping hand. “I am very excited to experience this event," he said. The “Spring”of Naizuku Primary School has finally come, thanks to the support of Zhaotai Group. I hope the construction project of the new school building is going well. In the meantime, I also hope that our teaching staff can achieve high-quality teaching results to repay the high hopes that Zhaotai Group has placed in us."
Towards the end of the groundbreaking ceremony, a member of CPC committee of Meigu Education and Sports Bureau and the head of the Education Section said: “I would like to express my most sincere gratitude to Zhaotai Group. Thank Zhaotai Group for the new hope your generosity and kindness has brought to the students and teachers at Naizuku Primary School. Meigu County has invested nearly 1.3 billion in education in the past 2 years, which is equivalent to the total revenue of Meigu County for more than some 10 years. Such a large investment cannot be made without the support of caring companies like Zhaotai Group. As the head of the education department, I hereby promise that we will put more efforts to education in our region and educate more outstanding talents for our country. We will also go on carrying forward the spirit of dedication of caring enterprises and do our part to bring warmth and hope to more disadvantaged groups."
The groundbreaking ceremony of the Naizuku Primary School Project means that the backward status of the school with "earth walls and dangerous buildings” has become a history. Soon, the students will be able to sit in the bright and spacious classrooms of Zhaotai Primary School and receive a better education.
