Recently, the project of the Technology and Industrial Development Center of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and Beijing Institute of Architectural Design, "study on the design of green performance retrofitting of existing buildings based on carbon neutrality", participated by Beijing Xuyao Construction Technology Company and co-declared by Beijing Construction Technology Development Company Limited and Beijing Zhaotai Group Co., Ltd., was approved officially.
Developed in earlier years, Fengrong International Building, a premium office building built by Zhaotai Group in Financial Street business district in the heart of the capital, was chosen as a model application case. The project will practice the comprehensive selection of the best and the trade-off of retrofitting measures in the design phase of existing buildings, build a quantitative prediction model of the operational energy consumption and carbon emission after retrofitting existing buildings, and form a green performance retrofitting design method and design standard that integrates the optimization of physical environment, comfort, carbon emission and cost of existing buildings, so as to provide guide and reference for the green and low-carbon retrofitting design of existing buildings.
At the same time, the project will also provide an implementation path reference for the construction sector in responding to the national policy for carbon peaking and carbon neutrality, adapting to the new situation of green and low-carbon development of urban renewal, promoting the transformation of development and construction methods and the improvement of building quality, and facilitating the carbon peaking and carbon neutrality of urban and rural construction.
